Important Information

The amounts shown on this page may be different to your account balance. Amounts on this page do not include any insurance premiums or administration fees that are yet to be deducted from your account for the current month.

Changing your investments

You can choose how your super is invested.  If you’re in a defined benefit division (Division 1, 2, 3, 4 or 15), you may only be able to choose how some, not all, of your accumulation accounts are invested.

You can choose one or a mix of investment options for your super. You can also have different investment options for:

  • Your current account balance, and/or
  • Your future contributions (does not apply for income account)

Please read the Investment Guide for full details about your investment options.

About each investment option

Find out more about each investment option by clicking on the investment option name. Each option is assigned a Standard Risk Measure, which is the estimated number of annual returns in any 20 year period.

The Standard Risk Measure is a tool to help you compare investment risk across investment options. It is based on industry guidance and is not a complete assessment of investment risk. It does not take into account:

  • what the size of a negative return could be
  • if the size of a positive return will be enough to meet your objectives, or
  • the impact of administration fees and tax on the likelihood of a negative return.

You should check you are comfortable with the risks and potential losses associated with your chosen investment option(s).

The Standard Risk Measure consists of seven risk labels:

Risk label

Medium to high

Between 3 and 4

Medium

Low to medium

Risk labels are not a guarantee of the number or frequency of negative annual returns for an investment option.

Making changes

To change the investment options for your current account balance and your future contributions, you will need to complete two separate transactions.

Changes to your current account balance

You can choose how much to invest in each option by dollar amounts or by whole percentages. For income accounts, only whole percentages can be specified.

Change to your future contributions

You can choose how much to invest in each option by whole percentages.  Future contributions do not apply for income accounts.

Note: when viewing percentages in any investment choice, please note that this site can only display whole numbers. As a result, if your account is invested across multiple investment options, the percentages may not total 100%.
