Before making a change to your investment options, you should read the details of each investment option carefully - simply click on the name of the investment option. Over time, investment returns for investment options will be different resulting in the proportion of your current balance in each option changing.
It is important to consider the following before you make a change to your investment options:
1. Time to process your request;
2. Fees and costs;
3.Confirmation of your request;
4.Restrictions for defined benefit members (if applicable);
5.Restrictions on income accounts (if applicable)
Time to Process Your Request
For current account balance - Your new investment options will apply to your current account balance effective from the first Wednesday following the date your valid request is received. We will not process the change to your options until the credited interest rates for that Wednesday are available. Qantas Super declares interest rates weekly. This means it can take up to three weeks before you see the change to you investment options on your account.
A request received after 11.30pm on a Tuesday is deemed to be received the next business day.
For future contributions – Your new investment options will apply to future contributions from the next business day after the date your valid switch request is received. A request received after 11.30pm on any given day is deemed to be received the next business day.
All investment changes may be suspended by us during times of investment market volatility or illiquidity, such as a major market event (eg a significant banking failure or an economic depression).
Fees and Charges
There is no fee for changing your investment options.
Confirmation of your request
Your investment change will only be processed if a Receipt Number is displayed on your screen after you have submitted your request. If a Receipt Number is not displayed, please contact us immediately
You can receive a Confirmation Advice of your investment strategy change, check your preferences.
Your investment change request will only be applied to the account you are currently viewing. If you have multiple accounts with us, you will need to submit a separate request for each account. You can access your other accounts (if applicable) from the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Changes to your investment options will not be visible on this site until it is processed by us.
If we have your email:
1. We will send you confirmation of your investment change once your request has been processed by email. We may also use these details in the future to send you information about your super electronically, unless you have asked us not to.
2. You can change your preference for receiving confirmations by email at any time by updating your personal details information on this website, or by calling us.
3. If your email bounces, we will send you confirmation letter in the post and your email address will be removed.
Restrictions to Defined Benefit Members (if applicable)
If you are a defined benefit member (Divisions 1, 2, 3, 4 or 15), you may only be able to choose how some of your accumulation accounts are invested. Investment changes will not apply to that part of your benefit where investment choice is not available. For details, refer to the information booklet for your division, available on our website.
