Your Beneficiaries
By nominating beneficiaries you’re letting us know who should receive your super benefits if you pass away, so you can be sure it goes to the right people. There are two types of nominations you can make:
- Reversionary nominations on joining the Allocated Pension Division and before your pension commences, you can make a reversionary beneficiary nomination. You must nominate eligible Dependents to receive your account balance as a reversionary pension in the event of your death. This nomination is binding on the trustee and, once made, cannot be altered.
- Binding nomination means your benefit must be paid to your nominated beneficiary. A binding nomination is usually valid for up to three years. If you would like to make binding nominations, you will need to complete a separate form.
