NOMINATE BENEFICIARIES

By nominating beneficiaries you're letting us know who should receive your super benefits if you die while you are still a member.

You can nominate a preferred beneficiary or make a binding nomination on your account.

The most appropriate beneficiary nomination depends on your personal circumstances.

There may be taxation and other implications in nominating a beneficiary, so we suggest that you seek professional advice before doing so.

Where you make a preferred beneficiary nomination, we will take into account your nomination but it will not be binding.

If at the time of your death, you have a valid binding nomination, we are bound to pay benefits in accordance with your instructions.

A binding nomination must comply with superannuation law requirements to be valid and there are restrictions on who can be nominated as a beneficiary.

If you would like to make a Binding Nomination you will need to complete the 'Binding death benefit nomination form' available on the Forms page.
