COVID-19 UPDATE: REDUCED MINIMUM DRAWDOWN RATES
In response to Covid-19, the Federal Government has temporarily reduced the minimum pension payment requirements for account based pensions and similar products by 50%. This reduction applies for the 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 financial years.
The minimum annual pension amount shown below is based on the reduced rates. From 1 July 2020, if you had previously nominated the minimum amount, your pension payments may be reduced.
HOW DO I CHANGE MY PENSION PAYMENT AMOUNT?
Market performance and updated drawdown requirements may prompt you to reconsider your pension strategy. However, it is important to understand how your money is invested before making any changes. If you are considering changing your Pension drawdown strategy, you may want to speak to a financial adviser before taking action.
If you’d like to update your pension payment amount or drawdown strategy you can do so by clicking the ‘Change Pension Details’ button below the table and following the prompts.
Your updated pension payment amount will apply when your next pension payment falls due. If you are due to receive your next payment within 10 working days, we may update your payment amount after this payment.
MAXIMUM ANNUAL PENSION PAYMENTS
If you have a Transition to Retirement pension, you can elect to receive a ‘Maximum’ amount. This must be no more than the maximum level set by the Government. The maximum annual pension limit doesn’t apply to withdrawals from account based or allocated pensions.
Please note: If you have altered your pension payment within the current financial year or started a new pension after 1 July, the annual pension amount displayed below may not be a true reflection of the annual pension you will receive this financial year.
