Beneficiaries
By nominating beneficiaries you’re letting us know who should receive your super benefits if you pass away, so you can be sure it goes to the right people. There are two types of nominations you can make:
- Non-binding nomination tells us who your preferred beneficiaries are, but leaves us some discretion when it comes to paying your benefit. You can update your preferred non-binding beneficiaries below.
- Binding nomination means your benefit must be paid to your nominated beneficiary. If you would like to make binding nominations, you will need to complete a separate Binding Death Benefit Nomination form.
At the time of completing the form you can choose to make your nomination either non-lapsing (meaning it won’t expire unless you change or revoke it) or lapsing (meaning after three years, unless the nomination is renewed, it will revert to a non-binding nomination).
